Unit Factor Conversions Lab – Agriscience

Unit Factor Conversions

 

Agriscience students at Stark County High School used sloping tables to roll a ball and calculate the speed of the rolling ball in inches per second and centimeters per second. Students used unit factor conversion formulas to convert in/sec to miles per hour and cm/sec to kilometers per hour.

SCHS Agriscience students (l to r): Luke Wilson, Keith Ehnle, and Trace Tuthill collect data for a scientific measurement lab during a recent class. Groups collected measurements of area, volume, and mass of various objects and calculated densities of the objects measured during the experiment.
