2017 Section FFA Agriculture Mechanics CDE

Agriculture Mechanics CDE consists of a team of five members, each competing in their chosen area of carpentry, welding, agricultural power, surveying, or electricity. The top team and any first place individuals not on the first place team are eligible to compete at the state level at Parkland College in Champaign.

2017 Agriculture Career Program – Cambridge FFA Alumni and BHE


2017 Day in the Life of Agriculture Program

Students from Stark County, Cambridge, Wethersfield, AlWood, and Geneseo learned about careers in the agriculture industry and participated in hands-on activities in Natural Resources, Plant Science, Animal Science, Agriculture Mechanics, and Agriculture Business at Black Hawk East College. The event was sponsored by the Cambridge FFA Alumni and Black Hawk East.

 

2017 Agriculture Mechanics Technology Construction Cooperative

Students are forming an employee owned, employee run construction cooperative business. They are raising capital by selling shares and employees are keeping timesheets on a google form. The Board of Directors have elected a chairperson, vice chairperson, and treasurer. The company treasury is run through the FFA Account. At the end of the semester after all expenses are paid, the profits of the cooperative are paid to the employee owners according to how many shares each own in the business.

2016 Agriculture Mechanics Technology – Surveying

Students in the Agriculture Mechanics Technology conduct a Surveying unit consisting of pacing, taping, differential leveling, profile leveling, and legal land descriptions. In groups, students survey the campus property using differential leveling and profile leveling techniques.
